For years, the assumption has been that iPhone users can't run Spotify MOD apps. That's no longer true. With modern sideloading tools like AltStore and Sideloadly, you can install the SpotiMod IPA on any iPhone or iPad running iOS 14 or later — without jailbreaking, without paying for an Apple Developer account, and without losing your existing Spotify library. This guide walks through every step of the process, the two most popular sideloading methods, and how to handle the one quirk of iOS sideloading (signature expiration) that trips up most first-timers.
The iOS version of SpotiMod APK delivers the exact same feature set as the Android build: ad-free streaming, unlimited skips, extreme 320 kbps audio, offline downloads, full Spotify Connect, the AMOLED theme, AI DJ v2, and Jam collaborative playlists. The only difference is how you get it onto your device — which is what we'll cover next.

Download IPA (Free)What You'll Need
The iOS install requires a few prerequisites. Don't worry — every tool is free, well-known, and widely used in the iOS customization community.
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 14, 15, 16, 17, or 18. iPadOS is fully supported.
- A Mac, Windows PC, or Linux machine with iTunes or Finder installed. The signing tool runs on the desktop and pushes the app to your phone via USB or Wi-Fi.
- A free Apple ID. A normal Apple ID works for sideloading. You don't need a paid Developer account ($99/year) unless you want to extend the signature window from 7 days to 1 year.
- The SpotiMod IPA file, downloaded from our homepage.
- A USB cable (for the AltStore install) or a shared Wi-Fi network (for Sideloadly wireless install).
Method 1 — Install Using AltStore (Recommended)
AltStore is the most popular sideloading tool for iOS in 2026. It's open-source, free, and offers a one-click "refresh" mechanism that re-signs your apps automatically before they expire. Setup takes about 10 minutes the first time; after that, the workflow is seamless.
Step 1 — Install AltStore on your computer
Visit altstore.io and download the macOS or Windows version. Install it like any other app and launch it. On first launch, AltStore will install a small helper service in the system tray / menu bar.
Step 2 — Connect your iPhone to the computer
Plug your iPhone in via USB. If prompted on the device, tap "Trust This Computer" and enter your passcode. AltStore should detect your device automatically.
Step 3 — Install AltStore on your iPhone
In the AltStore desktop app, click the small AltStore icon in the menu bar / system tray, then click "Install AltStore" and select your iPhone. Sign in with your Apple ID when prompted. AltStore will install the AltStore app on your phone.
Step 4 — Trust the developer profile
On your iPhone, open Settings → General → VPN & Device Management. Under "Developer App," tap your Apple ID and tap Trust. Without this step, the AltStore app will refuse to launch.
Step 5 — Download the SpotiMod IPA
From your iPhone, visit spotimodapk.pro in Safari and tap the iOS download link. The IPA file will save to your Files app under Downloads.
Step 6 — Sideload the IPA via AltStore
Open the AltStore app on your iPhone. Tap the "+" icon, browse to your Downloads folder, select the SpotiMod IPA, and tap "Sign." AltStore will re-sign the app with your Apple ID and install it. After about 30 seconds, the Spotify icon will appear on your Home screen.
Step 7 — Trust the Spotify profile
Return to Settings → VPN & Device Management and trust the new developer profile (this one will have a different Apple ID than your main one — usually a random UUID generated by AltStore). Now open Spotify and log in.
Method 2 — Install Using Sideloadly
Sideloadly is a Windows-only sideloading tool that some users prefer over AltStore because it doesn't require installing a system service. It's a portable executable — no install needed. The downside is that it doesn't auto-refresh signatures, so you'll need to re-sign manually every 7 days (or use the Sideloadly "Auto-Refresh" plugin).
Step 1 — Download and launch Sideloadly
Visit sideloadly.io and download the Windows build. Launch the Sideloadly.exe — no installation needed.
Step 2 — Connect your iPhone
Plug in your iPhone via USB. If prompted, trust the computer on your device. Sideloadly will detect the device automatically and populate the "Device" field.
Step 3 — Load the IPA
Click the IPA icon in Sideloadly and select the SpotiMod IPA file you downloaded. Enter your Apple ID in the Apple ID field. If you have 2FA enabled on your Apple ID, Sideloadly will prompt for a verification code.
Step 4 — Sign and install
Click "Start." Sideloadly will sign the IPA with your Apple ID and push it to your device. The whole process takes 60–90 seconds.
Step 5 — Trust the developer profile
On your iPhone, go to Settings → VPN & Device Management and trust the new developer profile. Open Spotify, log in, done.
Bonus Method — Jailbroken Devices (Easiest)
If your iPhone is jailbroken, sideloading is dramatically easier. Just install AppSync Unified from your package manager (Sileo, Zebra, Cydia), then double-tap the SpotiMod IPA in your Files app. iOS will install it instantly without any signing, no Apple ID, and no expiration — the app stays installed indefinitely as long as the jailbreak is active.
If your iPhone isn't jailbroken and you don't want to jailbreak, stick with Method 1 or Method 2 above.
iOS-Specific Troubleshooting
"Untrusted Developer" when opening Spotify
You skipped the "Trust" step. Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, find the developer profile, and tap Trust. Restart the app.
"Unable to Verify App" / App crashes on launch
The IPA signature has expired (after 7 days on free Apple ID). Re-open AltStore or Sideloadly and re-sign the IPA. Alternatively, install the AltStore auto-refresh plugin to do this automatically.
"This Apple ID is not valid for use with App Store purchases"
Your Apple ID hasn't accepted the iTunes terms. Open the App Store on the same Apple ID on your phone, scroll to the bottom, and accept the latest terms. Then re-run AltStore/Sideloadly.
Spotify opens then immediately closes
Some sideloading tools strip out the right entitlements. Make sure you're using the latest version of AltStore or Sideloadly (2026 builds), and that the IPA you downloaded is from a trusted source. Old IPAs from 2024 often break on iOS 18.
Features Available on the iOS MOD
Every feature we list on our homepage works identically on iOS. Specifically: ad-free music and podcasts, unlimited skips, offline downloads with no 10K song cap, 320 kbps extreme streaming, on-demand playback of any song from any playlist, full Spotify Connect to Sonos / HomePod / AirPlay devices, the AMOLED dark theme, lyrics display, Canvas looping visuals, AI DJ v2 with multi-language support, and Jam collaborative playlists. The iOS MOD also enables Siri voice control of Spotify playback — a feature that Apple has restricted to Apple Music in the official Spotify iOS app.
Final Words
The iOS sideload process looks intimidating at first, but it's actually quite straightforward once you walk through it once. After your first install, refreshing the Spotify MOD every 7 days takes about 10 seconds if you have AltStore set up properly. Most users in our community run the iOS MOD continuously and only think about it once a week when AltStore quietly re-signs the app in the background.
